Lawrencia Awuku

Lawrencia is a friendly, easy-going person with a lot of playfulness and love for children. With an MA in International Social Development, she is also a trained Gender Specialist from a UK University.

Lawrencia has vast experiences in empowering young adults, girls and mothers. She advocates for children’s right to education, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and campaigns against child labour and early marriages.

She volunteered at Uganda Hands for Hope where she taught children with disabilities and supported them to acquire self-help skills. This was a fulfilling experience for her and a turning point in her life to finally realise where her passion lies.

Being a part of Move the World, she looks forward to developing her leadership skills and to make life-changing impacts in the lives of the children we work with.

Whenever Lawrencia is not around children or working on people-centred projects, she is either reading, exploring new places or mixing up DIY recipes.
